Language Instruction for Limited English Proficient (LEP) and Immigrant Students

Welcome to the Bilingual Education/Title III Web Site! The purpose of Title III is to ensure that limited English proficient (LEP) students and immigrant children and youth meet the same challenging state academic content and student academic achievement standards as all other children. This Web site is designed to provide guidance to Oklahoma schools in meeting the requirements of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001.

The program provides enhanced instructional opportunities for ELL children and youth by providing instruction which focuses on both the Priority Academic Student Skills (PASS) and the World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) English Language Proficiency (ELP) Standards.
