“A” Positive Future
“A” Positive Future specializes in individually tailored instruction that helps students in Kindergarten through 12th grade increase their success in Reading/English Language Arts and Math.   Highly qualified instructors provide tutoring for students at their own schools, or at community centers and libraries close by.   We work with students in groups of five or less or when needed, one-on-one, to make strides toward specific learning goals.  Our staff includes instructors qualified to teach English language learners (ELL) and Students with Disabilities (SWD), as well as bilingual instructors to communicate with ELL families in their native language.

The program is founded on the well researched principals of cooperative learning, positive feedback/coaching, and working towards goals set for each student.  Instructors use their knowledge and experience to help students in ways they learn best.  Before the program begins, students take a comprehensive assessment to identify their strengths and weaknesses in reading and math.  The instructor, parents/guardian, student and teachers approve a set of goals to create a clear learning path for the student.  The average tutoring session lasts for 90 minutes and depending on what is convenient for the student and their family, may be held after school or on weekends.

*1 To 1 Tutor
1 To 1 Tutor provides high quality online Math tutoring proven to increase students; math skills.  We tutor students in grades K-12.  Students communicate with tutors via internet through a computer, headphone with microphone and on a cyber whiteboard.  Based on student needs, computer and internet service may be provided free of charge.  Tutoring takes place at home and is offered Monday-Friday, before and/or after school until 9:00 pm and on weekends.

*1:1 Online Tutoring Services
Our 30 hour program provides individualized, one-to-one tutoring with tailor-made learning paths depending on the students need.  Classes are conducted online at the student’s home and can easily be accommodated into working parent’s schedules.  Our programs include tutoring in Math and Reading for grades K-12.  We provide laptops and internet connection free of cost to the students who cannot afford it.  All of our material is aligned to Oklahoma PASS.  We hire well qualified tutors who are experts in their subjects and have experience in working with students with disabilities, English language learners, and at-risk students.  Our bilingual tutors can tutor in Spanish.   We provide assessment testing to each student at the beginning to evaluate the weaknesses of the student and at the end of the program to evaluate the improvement.  Our program eliminates the need for transportation as the sessions take place in the safety and convenience of the student’s home.

*24/7 Educate Online
We use web based interactive software Compass Learning Odyssey (CLO) from compasslearning.com that is aligned to the current Oklahoma PASS and national standards for grades K-12 in Reading/Language Arts and Math.   The program is based on the most current and confirmed research as mandated by the NCLB guidelines.  The highlight of our program is the students performing severely under grade level can pace their work as per their need while listening to directions as many times as they require.  At the inception of the program, we evaluate students using the CLO diagnostic assessment.  This assessment is based on the standards for validity as prescribed by the Standards for Education and Psychological Testing (1999).  CLO generates an individualized lesson plan (ILP).  Our tutor studies the ILP and a call with the program coordinator, parents/guardians, and teachers at a time convenient to them to discuss the results of the diagnostic assessment and ILP generated by the CLO software.

In addition, a student’s previous test scores, general attitude toward school and homework, attendance, and other relevant inputs from patents and teachers are also taken in this call.  Based on the results of the diagnostic assessment and inputs from teachers and parents, the tutor makes adjustments in the ILP and prepares a time table for the student.

*4.0 Home Tutors
4.0 Home tutors offer Supplemental Education Services for Math, Science, English/Language Arts, and Reading to students in Oklahoma in the comfort of their home or in small groups (up to 3 students) at school.  The company’s approach is to improve academic performance and achievement by assisting students with specific state-aligned learning targets and test preparation and to promote healthy and productive study habits and organizational skills.

Each tutor initiates the tutoring program with a standardized skill assessment, which is later used to track effectiveness.  During each session, the specific goals and objectives listed in the Student Learning Plan are targeted through open dialog with the student, and by fostering a comfortable environment for the student(s) to ask questions and constructively interact with the tutor and each other.    The tutor will not only teach and reinforce necessary skills, but will provide regular and constructive feedback and provide the student with numerous opportunities to ask questions.   The tutor encourages open communication to build the student’s confidence and to foster participation.

5 Star Learning
The key services that we provide are tutoring in reading, English Language Arts (ELA), and math.  We offer instruction in small groups, large groups, in-home, one on one, and computer- based.  Our curriculum supports Grades K-12.  Our core curriculum is a comprehension computer-based instructional program providing students with extensive instructions in the areas of vocabulary, comprehension, and math.  We are equipped to provide this curriculum in hard copy when computers are not available.  To complement our program we include Creative Press Teaching along with our 3-year Pilot curriculum.  Each one of our curriculums is aligned with Oklahoma’s Priority Academic Student Skills (PASS).  All students will receive focused, intensive, differentiated instruction, tailored to meet individual needs of eligible students.  All computerized programs have supports for ESOL, ESE, Hearing Impaired, and other 504 accommodations.  Multiple data sources outlining student instructional needs will be consistently analyzed and utilized to make informed instructional decisions on an individual student basis.

A+ Academics
A+ Academics provides evidenced-based individual and small group tutoring for SES students.  We have tutored approximately 5850 students since 2002 in language, reading, and math, including higher math, algebra, and calculus.  We offer one-on-one and small-group tutoring in student homes, with an adult present at all times, or in public places such as libraries, churches, or schools.  We tutor children with learning disabilities and English Second Languages.  We strongly encourage ongoing parent/teacher participation to ensure that students stay on track with improving their academic skills.

A+ Academics services and materials are carefully aligned with Oklahoma’s Priority Academic Student Skills (PASS) for each grade level between Pre-K and 12.  Pre-tutoring assessments identify skill deficiencies in previous and current grade levels.  An individual Student Learning Plan (SLP) is designed from the pre-tutoring assessment and outlines specific academic goals to be achieved from tutoring.  The SLP is presented to the parent for final approval.  Instruction will be coordinated with the student’s school program including the Individualized Educational Program (IEP) and Section 504, when applicable.   Once tutoring begins, students are assessed every ten hours to ensure progress towards mastering newly acquired skills.  Our tutors continually encourage each student throughout their tutoring experience.  At the conclusion of all tutoring sessions, a post-tutoring assessment is given to determine the specific academic progress of each student.  Evidence shows that our students typically grow 2.5 grade levels on average.

*A+ Tutors For Scholars
A+ Tutors For Scholars offers a digital learning program that is backed by scientific-based research and consists of the following characteristics:  1) Places students into the appropriate level of their mast4ered academic skills. 2) Individualizes instruction for each child. 3) Tracks academic competence. 4) Provides progress of individual performance and skills not mastered. 5) Correlates to Oklahoma State Standards.  These major elements are achieved through the use of a low student-to-instructor ratio and computer-based instructional assessments to ensure individualized instruction for grades K-12.  With tutoring sessions designed to provide students with computer-based instruction and assessment, the results show average student grade-level gains across both academic subjects (Reading and Mathematics) at an approximate rate of .205 for every 8 hours spent in the program.

Using only highly qualified staff, A+ Tutors For Scholars will provide high-quality supplemental services to Oklahoma schools and communities.  A+ Tutors For Scholars is dedicated to providing quality services to all students, including those with disabilities, limited English language skills, and students at-risk.

*Above & Beyond Educational Services
Above & Beyond Educational Services (A&BES) a division of Hands With Prayer Church and Ministry formed in 2005, started educational services for struggling children in 2009.  Although faith based, academic educational services are secular in nature.  Individual and small group tutoring is provided.  Tutoring service locations may include school, home, libraries, or parental choice.  The highly qualified tutors of A&BES include certified or retired teachers, professionals, and college students with excellent transcripts indicating their knowledge of Math and/or Reading/Language.  Tutors attend a minimum of two four-hour training sessions.  Training consists of Federal/State/District rules and regulations, academic requirements and paperwork, A&BES contracting procedures, along with training in research-based instructional strategies and identifying student’s most effective mode of learning.

All tutors are knowledgeable, encouraging and interact well with students.  The program will increase student classroom performance.  Every student is pre-tested to determine skill deficiencies.  Pre-tests are reviewed with parents for approval.  Individual learning plans are created for each student.  Tutoring sessions are 1-2 hours, twice weekly.  Lessons are designed to target student weakness, and bring the student up to the grade level.  Parental involvement is encouraged for excelled accomplishment in student’s maximum academic achievement.

Accel Online has served 1000 students in 7 years with 80% of those students improving from basic to proficient on their state assessment scores during the program.  It provides tutoring services online in math, language arts, and science for 3rd – 12th grade students after school.  The instructors are credentialed and the service is accessible from any computer.  The system is very easy to use as students work on our whiteboards with their tutors and use voice/chat to communicate.  Sessions are 1-2 hours long and laptop computers and internet access are provided for students who do not have them so they may access and complete the program.  All sessions are recorded and reviewable by parents at their leisure.

Acceleration Based Basic Education (ABBE)
ABBE’s purpose is to provide students with personalized instruction from talented and energetic teachers who are focused on Oklahoma’s Priority Academic Student Skills (PASS).  We begin the year with a diagnostic evaluation that will find PASS skills that your child is lacking.  The test results will determine the goals set by ABBE’s Learning Center, the school and you, the parent.  Students are tutored in small groups of 6 or less.  We specialize in teaching the PASS skills by using research based teaching strategies in both math and reading/language arts

Our math program covers basic math facts through the math courses taught at high school.  Tests are used at every level to identify each student’s needs.  If PASS skills are lacking, we will immediately begin to target these missing skills using proven instructional strategies.  As an example; manipulatives are an important strategy that can be used, at almost any level of math.  In the areas of reading and language arts, we will teach the younger students sight words to the point of instant recall.  Older students might be taught research skills.  At all grade levels, tutors will model instructions to the students rather than just telling.  Oklahoma’s Priority Academic Student Skills (PASS) is our curriculum.

Ace Learning
Ace Learning is the right choice to improve your child’s reading and math skills in Grades K-12.  Our high quality, research-based program teaches key concepts as set forth by Oklahoma’s Priority Academic Student Skills (PASS) in reading and math equipping our students for state testing as well as their next grade level.  We tutor from the basics to advanced levels including algebra, geometry, and language arts.  Tutoring classes can be scheduled before, after school, or on weekends with the student’s school the preferred location.  Bus transportation from the school to the student’s home is provided when available.  Ace Learning reinforces reading and math skills taught in the classroom guaranteeing your child’s success this year and for years to come!

Achievia Tutoring Midwest
The academic tutoring program of Achievia Tutoring is diagnostic, prescriptive, individualized, and motivational in reading and math instruction.  The program offers a learning environment that controls the student to teacher ratio to no greater than 5:1.

Each student must take a diagnostic test for reading or math.  The test results will identify specific skills that need attention and/or reinforcement for either remediation or enrichment and will determine the student’s academic grade level (independent of the student’s actual grade level in school).  An individualized Student Learning Plan (SLP) is prepared, specific to that student’s needs.  A typical SLP consists of five to seven assignments during each session of instruction, focusing on the skill areas defined in the diagnostic test.  The SLP is constantly updated as the student achieves mastery in the skill area receiving attention.  Students who complete a minimum of 30 hours of instruction have advanced an average of 1.66 grade levels in Math and an average of 1.33 grade levels in reading based on pretest and posttest comparisons (2009-2010 data).

A-Key Tutoring  Program

Babbage Net School
Babbage Net School leverages the power of a personal computer paired with a self-paced curriculum to provide the highest quality tutoring program available.  The student receives a laptop computer that comes pre-installed with a curriculum tailored to meet the student’s individual academic needs.  Additionally, each student is supported by accredited tutors from the National Tutoring Association (NTA) and our Help Hotline.   Additionally, our program does not require internet access as the curriculum is loaded on to the computer’s hard drive.

The Babbage Net School program caters to each student’s academic requirements.  When a student is enrolled in our SES Tutoring Program, they are given a pre-assessment test to identify their areas of greatest need.   Based upon these results, along with input from parents and teachers, as well as results from other state test results, a customized curriculum is created and installed on a laptop computer which is then provided to the student.   The student will go through the guide and practice portions of each of the lessons at their own pace.  Once the lessons are completed, the students take mastery assessments at the end of each instructional unit.  This enables them to attain grade level proficiency.  There is no set time a student must remain at the computer.

*Focus First Tutoring
Our tutoring program uses a one-on-one and small group, highly individualized tutoring approach.  A plethora of research studies show the efficiency of providing students with targeted, individualized, one-on-one and/or small group instruction.   Our approach emphasizes the importance of developing a strong academic foundation; our tutors’ help students master the fundamentals of reading and mathematics in a step-by-step and disciplined manner, before progressing to more advanced concepts.  Our tutoring program identifies each student’s needs and skill gaps on an individual level.  We setup and initial consultation with each student’s parents/guardians to better address any potential learning disabilities.  These consultations are used to identify the proper assessment, based on a holistic understanding of the students needs.  Following the selection of assessment(s) we pretest to determine student paucity based on Grade-Level Expectations (GLEs).  In addition, we analyze and make adjustments to the student’s learning plan as needed based on current benchmarks and as scores become available to us.   We provide our teachers/tutors with comprehensive training for working with a diverse student population.

Foundations Tutoring
Foundations Tutoring provides individual and small group tutoring K-12 students in math, reading, and language arts.  Services are also included for special needs students with Individualized Education Programs (IEP), English Second Language (ESL), or English language learners (ELL).   Parents decide the type of service and when and where it is to be provided.  The individual learning plan, containing the student’s academic areas of weakness is approved by the parents.  Once approved, tutoring begins.  Parent/teacher input is valuable for student growth.  Telephone calls and written notices will be provided to parents, teachers, and the school to keep them informed of the student’s progress.

Foundations Tutoring aligns all tutoring materials with Oklahoma’s Priority Academic Student Skills (PASS).  Each individual learning plan outlines student academic goals as defined in PASS.  Every student is assessed before tutoring begins.  The student’s assessment is reviewed and skills to be improved are identified and goals are developed.  Each student is assigned a highly qualified tutor trained in research-based strategies and techniques to help students achieve academic goals.  Students are given a posttest after the final tutoring session.  The average expected student growth rate is 1.5 to 2 grade levels.

Grace & Glory Ministries
Grace & Glory Ministries Church has decided to expand their “The REAL LIFE Mentorship Program” by providing a culturally sensitive, nondenominational supplemental education tutoring program designed to improve the reading ability of students in Grades K-12 that are below grade level in reading.  Our main goal is to help these at-risk students reach their grade level in reading and enhance their educational performance in school through support of individual/small group tutoring after school.

Our basic tutoring materials will be Pearson Scott Forman Level Reading, Scholastic READ XL, Success By 6 Literacy Program, and Early Reading intervention strategies through guided reading.  We will be flexible in venturing out to other sources if the student needs more reinforcement or other types of instruction.  The overall focus will be on the six dimensions of reading instruction that has been validated by many research-based programs: print awareness, phonological/phonemic awareness, phonics/decoding, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, and motivation.  Some or all of these dimensions will be targeted during tutoring depending upon the need of the student.  An up-to-date record book will be kept on each child reflecting:  attendance, reading level, indication of major problem area(s), lesson plans, progress notes, list of books read, and parent/teacher conferences.  A piece of motivation for the beginning reader is the interest the tutor takes in helping the student choose appropriate books.

Ivy League Tutor
Ivy League Tutor uses a computer-based tutoring program, combined with real-time assistance from highly qualified tutors, focused on each student’s learning needs.  We use a research-based program, A+nywhere Learning Systems (A+LS), which allows students to work on the same skills in math (including Algebra and Geometry), reading, and English Language Arts that they are expected to learn at school.  Online tutoring has been shown to appeal to students and is recognized as a highly effective teaching method.

Each student in our program receives an individual learning plan at the beginning of the program.  Based on the family’s schedule, parents and students choose times for three sessions per week.  In the comfort of their own home, students log in at the scheduled time to Ivy League Tutor Web Site, study the lesson, and complete exercises.  A tutor will monitor the session, contact the student family if he/she is having problems, and teach the student via the Internet until he/she masters the skill.  If the student does not have a computer, Ivy League Tutor will provide one during the program.  Computer-based tutoring in the home is fun, effective, and convenient.

Jefferson Learning
Jefferson Learning has served over 10,500 students using a research-proven learning system and the combined experience of state-certified instructors.  The research-based learning systems that Jefferson Learning uses for reading and math have a time-tested and proven success rate with students.   Jefferson Learning utilizes state-certified teachers to provide skillful strategies for successful reading and math comprehension.  Students are led down a path from diagnosis through engaging instruction and assessment.

The program facilitates comprehension and allows students that are on-grade-level or struggling students to master skills that aid in reading and math comprehension.  Student instruction is presented in a small group format with no more than 7 students to 1 certified instructor.  Students are diagnosed at the beginning of the program in order to measure success as each improves reading or math strategies.  The Jefferson Learning program addresses the five dimensions of reading put forth by the National Institute For Literacy, Oklahoma’s PASS Math Standards, and encourages students to gain confidence and responsibility in their educational future!

*Kinetic Potential Scholars
The Kinetic Potential Scholars (KPS) program is a comprehensive online program dedicated to the academic and social needs of at-risk youth.  Founded upon the core belief that every child has remarkable potential, KPS provides a roadmap for these students, its future KP Scholars paring every student with academic KP Tutors as well as Guidance and Career mentors, all of which results in a holistic, long-tem approach to student success.  KPS is delivered in Kineticville, an online 3D virtual island, which provides an entirely Immersive Educational experience for students.  Kineticville creates a safe learning environment where students not only receive tutoring, but also have the opportunity to socialize with other students throughout the United States and around the worlds.  Kinecticville is based on the same commercial game & simulation technology that is used in video games and is designed to motivate students as self-learners in the same way that video games grab and keep the attention of players.

Research demonstrates that more than class size, the course books used, and class schedule, quality of instruction proves to be the biggest factor in determining a child’s academic success – especially those kids in struggling schools.  By recruiting KP Tutors from America’s top graduate universities in education – including those of Harvard, Columbia, Penn, and Yale – KPS not only selects from a pool of highly qualified instructors, but also brings on board individuals who are specifically committed to providing at-risk students with equality in educational opportunity.
